Shark was designed for use on a rewinder or narrow web press and features a defect management software package that was designed to speed up the defect management process by making it easier to evaluate defects the system has identified and to more quickly and efficiently take appropriate action. A defect management screen contains all the information needed to access the severity of identified defects. Having a simultaneous display of the full repeat, a close-up of the defect identified (and highlighted) and a close-up of the golden master, supplemented with a zoom function, allows faster, more precise and efficient examination of defects and decision making. A Defect Review icon allows a review of the most recent defects identified, with the touch of the screen. Shark also features a unique all icon driven user interface that is both intuitive and easy to learn.
